Meet Alix
Founder of Physio Goals & Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
Hi, I'm Alix 👋🏼. Owner, founder, and resident physio nerd at Physio Goals (I genuinely love this job, it's a whole thing).
I started Physio Goals back in 2019 because I wanted to build the clinic I'd actually want to walk into myself. Knowledgeable, yes. Welcoming, always. But zero of that stiff, intimidating "clinical" energy that makes you feel like you're in trouble for having a dodgy knee.
On paper, I'm a musculoskeletal physiotherapist with a First Class BSc and about 10 years of poking, prodding, and asking "does this hurt more or less" to just about every joint you can name. I've treated everyday aches, proper sports injuries, and the classic "I've had this since 2016 and just live with it now" niggle. Spoiler: you don't have to. We can do better than that, promise.
My approach isn't complicated, I listen, figure out what's really going on, and build a plan that fits into your actual life, not some idealised version of it. I care a lot about evidence-based treatment, but I also think a physio session should feel like a chat with someone who knows what they're doing, not a lecture.
Outside the clinic, it's mostly small kids, and throwing gloriously over-the-top parties for any excuse that lands on the calendar. My favourite place to be is celebrating the people I love. I bring that same energy to building the Physio Goals team: people with solid clinical knowledge, real empathy, and enough personality to keep things human.
You're not a knee. Or a shoulder. Or a "back situation." You're a person who just wants to get back to doing the stuff you love… minus the wincing.
That's the whole point of what we do.
